Meet on Totteridge side, by the pond by The Orange Tree Pub.
A fun, guided walk & sound hunting journey with Dianne Murphy from The Darland's Conservation Trust, in collaboration with Stacey Cohen, local musician & nature fanatic. With a special focus on learning about the exciting conservation work of the Trust, Stacey's musical connection to the Reserve, & approach to her recent work.
Come along and learn all about the reserve from a fresh & unique new angle, that will combine Dianne's expert ecological knowledge, & Stacey's unique approach towards field recording & storytelling through sound. This is a hands on experience, where you will get to take part in a guided wild play, field recording, and learning walk.
We will respond to the weather and stimulus present on the day. So please dress appropriately for the forecast and bring an umbrella or waterproof if rain is expected, etc. People of all ages are welcome, however bear in mind that certain moments will require quiet, meditative, active listening.
This is a tiny group exercise with no more than 20 places, so early booking is advisable.
The walk will be approx 5 KM at a social pace, and we will be crossing some slightly more challenging terrain, so sturdy footwear is recommended.
